About Me

Sarah Alinia Ziazi is an emerging Toronto-based visual artist and illustrator who is a recent graduate of OCAD University. Her practice generates a dialogue between themes of identity and nostalgic experiences that evoke ambivalence towards femininity and its stereotypes. A combination of mechanical and organic synthesis is seen within her aesthetics to further explore these concepts through the use of Acrylics, Gouache and Mixed Media techniques. Sarah has exhibited artworks in several Canadian galleries, and has showcased her work in published forums and magazines. As a freelance illustrator, she has worked for reputable international clientele, and has also received multiple awards for her artwork, including the Society of Illustrators Student Competition Award.
